Welcome!
For this painting class, I will take you through the basics of how cell exposure works and teach you different methods you can try. I have a variety of acrylic paints that I will bring ranging from metallic, to soft yellows, purples and blue or green. Each participant will be able to use as many or little colours as possible.
To respect COVID protocols all events at this time are restricted to Outdoors only and limited to 15 people. Mask wearing is recommended per provincial guidelines.

Before COVID hit I had started to dabble in wood burning. Eventually I turned to paints and found a great deal of fun is to be had with acrylics. I found cell exposure work to be so dynamic and ever changing as no two pieces will ever be the same.
When teaching I prefer to show how to prepare and work the paint and I will do a short run through on how to create some unique and fun designs. Strainer, straw or fork there really is no end to how much you can do!
What does the cost include:
I have provided two options for participating: purchase a canvas through myself or bring your own! There are many options for canvas' however I buy mine through Michaels. As of August 8, 2021 they have a 30% off a regular priced item using the promo code 30012921 which you can use at the check out if you choose to purchase online.
Canvas' are available through myself at a reasonably small mark up. There will be additional canvas' available at the event which you can purchase at the event through the link in the booking system.
What you will need:
1) Mask for COVID protocol
2) Pick a day with your friends!
3) Decide: Buy your own canvas or have me bring one!
** Note: If you opt to purchase a Canvas through me, I purchase only Level 3 Artist Canvas. These are reflected in the purchase prices.
I will always have additional canvas' available with me, however if clients prefer to purchase an additional canvas from me only e-transfers will be accepted at this time.
Some rules and things to know:
1) As COVID continues, everyone will be asked to 'sign in' at our meeting location. This will ensure if this becomes an exposure event, all participants will be notified per Public Health guidelines.
2) When you sign up to attend, you understand there is a possibility all people in attendance may not have a COVID vaccine and may potentially have an increased exposure. You accept to attend at your own risk and hold neither myself nor the host responsible for any outcomes or potential exposure from this event.
